RAKU FIRED CERAMIC VASE NO 111

After a 10 day drying period this bottle-vase was fired for the 1st time in special ceramic kiln at about 1000ºC. It was allowed to completely cool down for 24 hours and than before the second firing, special ceramic raku glazes were applied to bring out the vase’s unique textures and reflective properties in raku finishing process.
The result is unique, one-of-a-kind artwork that brings natural curves, unique textures, original colours and special character to any room.

REMARKS

Raku fired pieces retain scent of smoke for several weeks due to specific firing processes.
Raku fired items are porous and no liquid should be poured or kept in the bottles who think they are vases as it may seep through and leave permanent stains on your furniture.
