Handbuilding Pottery Workshop Zagreb is mindfulness in motion
This calming tactile creative workshop is tailor made depending on your previous experience, therefore suitable for total beginners as well as more advanced students. It is mindfulness in motion with a concrete physical result too. At the end of the three school hours you will have made one or several items, depending on your experience and preference.
Your clay pieces will be left in the studio to dry and be glazed and fired twice in special ceramic kilns. They will be ready for collection (or shipping) in approximately four weeks, depending on the size of your items and the type of clay you used. Alternatively, we can ship your pieces to your home address at a fee.
Therapeutic properties of clay are well known. There is no need to try to relax. Just take a lump of clay and let it work its magic. Location and Workshop Details
Here at Art Studio Laura Rainbow we are incredibly lucky to be situated in an unspoilt countryside but only 20-minute drive to the centre of Zagreb. Our Handbuilding Pottery Workshop is held in our studio and also outdoors when weather permits.
This workshop lasts 3 school hours (135 minutes). It’s suitable for one to maximum nine persons booking together, such as two or more friends, mother and daughter, sisters, girlfriend and boyfriend, or work colleagues. You can book as few or as many workshops as you wish. Date for each workshop is agreed separately to suit all parties.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Use of all necessary tools, equipment, clays, tuition, special glazes, glazing and firing. Included in the price is the post workshop process too. Following the workshop your pieces will be dried, glazed with transparent glazes and fired twice in a ceramic kiln on temperatures of 1000ºC .
Parking is free.
We treat you with a selection of teas and coffee and a glass of wine or home made liqueur.
Laura will glaze your pieces in transparent clear glaze. However should you like to experience all parts of the ceramics making process, do arrange additional workshops to decorate and glaze your own ceramics.

- Before or just after your workshop you can choose to experience throwing on the potters wheel too! Just book one of our pottery wheel throwing explorer experience workshop.
2. To experience the whole ceramics making process you can arrange several Handbilding Pottery Workshops Zagreb to decorate and glaze your pieces and/ or handbuild now ones.
In additional workshop you will decorate your own hand-modelled pieces you have made at previous workshop with special ceramic paints called engobes. Allow your imagination to take charge and free your hands to express themselves through drawing and painting clay.
In additional workshop you can also glaze your own pieces. Choose from the selection of 50 ready made glazes and make your pieces truly yours. (Due to the specific process, glazing workshops are suitable for adults only. However, Laura can glaze kid’s work.)
COLLECTION OF YOUR FINISHED PIECES
Your finished ceramics can be collected in person or you can send Uber pickup. Alternatively we can ship your pieces to your home address at a fee.
