CERAMIC WORKSHOP DUTCH HOUSES TILE MAKING

CERAMIC WORKSHOP DUTCH HOUSES TILE MAKING

The beginning of 2026 brings something special to our studio – a workshop led by guest artist Aleksandra Breeze. In a relaxed and creative atmosphere, we will create together a wall decoration in the shape of a traditional Dutch house.

Aleksandra is known for her work in which she explores stories, places, and memories that make a house a home through clay. Her passion and attention to detail will be something we can experience firsthand in the intimate setting of our workshop. It will be a chance to peek into her way of working and, under her guidance, create your own personal piece of ceramic art.

As always, in the “Clay and Wine” group ceramic workshops, the focus is on socializing, laughter, and shared creativity. A glass of wine in hand, clay under your fingers, and gentle shaping turn the evening into a small escape from everyday life. There’s no pressure and no rush – all you need to bring is a good mood and a willingness to enjoy the process.

This workshop is also specially designed as a gift idea. If you’re looking for something different for the holidays – something that isn’t just an object, but an experience to remember – give a loved one a creative evening at our studio. It’s a gift that brings the joy of making, a relaxed atmosphere, and a memory that lasts far beyond the moment of giving.

Workshop Details:

  • The number of participants is limited, as we want everyone to receive individual attention and support.

  • The price is €80, which includes everything – materials, tools, wine, and of course guidance from Aleksandra and Laura.

  • The workshop will take place in January or February 2026, with the exact date announced soon.

  • If you want to start the year creatively, with new experiences and a great atmosphere, this workshop is perfect for you.

Reservations open soon – be ready, as spots fill up quickly.

Demo Title

Raku firing really is one of the most natural techniques that you can encounter in working with clay. In loose translation the word “raku” means contentment and enjoyment in happy accident..

Originally created for the Korean tea ceremony, and further developed in 16th century Japan.

In raku firing all of nature’s elements are used in the process – earth, fire, air and water and together they create an unpredictable and unique style .

The process of Raku firing differs from other firing methods because it requires the fast removal of the piece from the furnace at their maximum temperature. While red hot, the pieces can be reduced using smoke from flammable materials, or enhanced with alcohol, or decorated with horse/pet hair and feathers.

It is a rather dangerous, unpredictable and amazing process.
