The name Koa means a brave warrior. Koa is one of the six Birds of Happiness made in a state of huge expectations and happiness specifically to be finished at the 1st Festival of Ceramics in a small Croatian town called Štrigova. It was hand modelled in soft clay and dried in controlled conditions and then first fired in a kiln at about thousand degrees celsius. Than Koa was hand glazed and finished in ancient raku firing which always brings a final surprise to each of the pieces making every single one unique with their own story. There is a life happiness in every Bird of Happiness, born out of synergy of human touch, clay, water, air and heat. Holding a Bird of Happiness in our hand we feel one with the nature.
