Individual parts of a bottle that thinks it’s a vase named Owl are hand made from slabs of grogged clay which are individually cut and formed together.
After polishing with semi-precious stone, contours were engraved and texture was added. It was then dried for 10 days. After its first firing in a ceramic kiln at about 1000ºC, the vase was left to cool for 24 hours. A number of special ceramic glazes were hand applied and the vase was raku firied The result is a unique work of art with unique shades and combinations of purple, copper, blue and white. This vase will bring a touch of originality to any space.
