CERAMIC BIRD OF HAPPINES NO428 PEACE

CERAMIC BIRD OF HAPPINES NO428 PEACE

CERAMIC BIRD OF HAPPINES NO428 PEACE is hand modelled, hand burnished, hand glazed and fired multiple times in a special ceramic kiln at the temperature of around thousand degrees centigrades. This handcrafted ceramic sculpture represents the pinnacle of artisanal pottery craftsmanship, where traditional techniques meet contemporary artistic vision.

The careful hand glazing process and ancient raku firing bring a final surprise to each Bird of Happiness making every single one entirely unique. This time-honored ceramic firing technique creates unpredictable patterns and colors, ensuring that no two birds are ever identical. The raku process involves removing the ceramic piece from the kiln while still glowing hot, creating dramatic effects through rapid cooling and smoke interaction.

There is a life happiness in each bird sculpture, born out of synergy of all four elements – fire, water, earth and air. Holding a bird in our hand we feel one with the nature. This connection to the natural world makes each ceramic bird a powerful symbol of harmony and balance.

CERAMIC BIRD OF HAPPINES NO428 PEACE is inspired by the ancient Slavic energetic practice of Bereginje. The energy symbols are imprinted into her clay soul before she entered her transformation through the fire of raku firing. In her womb rest thin plates also adorned with Bereginje symbols. On the outside are imprinted the words joy, love and peace – as a mantra of protection and blessing. Through the smoke and flame of raku firing, she became a bridge between ancient Slavic wisdom and the contemporary need for inner peace.

This unique ceramic art piece combines spiritual symbolism with exceptional craftsmanship. The Bereginje symbols connect the owner to protective feminine energies from Slavic tradition, while the words of joy, love and peace serve as daily reminders of life’s essential values.

Created to ennoble your home and personalise your working space. Hope it brings a smile to your face and makes you happy.

Demo Title

Raku firing really is one of the most natural techniques that you can encounter in working with clay. In loose translation the word “raku” means contentment and enjoyment in happy accident..

Originally created for the Korean tea ceremony, and further developed in 16th century Japan.

In raku firing all of nature’s elements are used in the process – earth, fire, air and water and together they create an unpredictable and unique style .

The process of Raku firing differs from other firing methods because it requires the fast removal of the piece from the furnace at their maximum temperature. While red hot, the pieces can be reduced using smoke from flammable materials, or enhanced with alcohol, or decorated with horse/pet hair and feathers.

It is a rather dangerous, unpredictable and amazing process.
