There were several Birds of Happiness hand modelled in the same day and Clementine was one of them. They were made in comfortable 28 degrees celsius, all looking up at the blue sky checking for any passing clouds.
Clementine is shaped in traditional terracotta clay and hand glazed to reflect the colours of a nice summer cocktail.
The hand glazing process gives an unrepeatable finishing touch to every sculpture, making each Bird entirely unique and one of a kind. There is a life happiness in every Bird of Happiness, born out of synergy of human touch, clay, water, air and heat. Holding a Bird of Happiness in our hand we feel one with the nature.
