CERAMIC WALL ART

This collection of sculptural paintings was created to draw attention to the importance of preserving forests and maintaining ecosystem balance for the survival of all living beings. It highlights the question of our own role in keeping our planet as it is for the benefit of the future generations.

The artist is deeply affected by the widespread destruction of forests and finds it  profoundly unsettling. She is aware that with felling of the woodlands and forests countless forest animals become homeless. Indeed, entire ecosystems are being disrupted. The artist is particularly sensitive to the impact on birds, whose survival is closely tied to the presence of trees.

Every element of nature plays a role. The rocks and stones form the relief of these ceramic wall art pieces and they are beautiful part of the nature but they are not enough for the birds survival.

That is why the Birds in this collection are depicted in a 2D format. Symbolically, they are confined within a frame, just as birds in the real world are restricted by disrupted habitats where trees have been cut down. This collection of sculptural ceramic paintings invites the viewer to reflect on their own role and responsibility in preserving nature for the generations yet to come.
