Petrus is one of the few Birds of Happiness with a male name. He was named after Chateau Petrus, the famous French wine which grows on blue clay. The word petrus means stone, rock.
Petrus was hand modelled, hand burnished, hand painted and hand glazed, and dried in controlled conditions. This Bird of Happiness was fired several times in a kiln at about thousand degrees celsius.
Finally, ancient raku firing which always brings a final surprise to each of the pieces making every single one unique with their own story. There is a life happiness in every Bird of Happiness, born out of synergy of human touch, clay, water, air and heat. Holding a Bird of Happiness in our hand we feel one with the nature.
