A chance conversation with an artistic friend and a photograph of his drawing of a penguin provided an inspiration for this Bird of Happiness. The name Chatterbox was appropriately suggested by another friend- an English artist living in Scotland. Chatterbox is shaped in the traditional terracotta clay, hand glazed and kiln fired several times until desired colours were achieved.
The hand glazing process gives a distinctive finishing touch to every sculpture, making each Bird entirely unique and one of a kind. There is a life happiness in every Bird of Happiness, born out of synergy of human touch, clay, water, air and heat. Holding a Bird of Happiness in our hand we feel one with the nature.
